The third cycle of the Government Innovation Leaders Training Program (GILP), conducted in collaboration with Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council, Global Innovation Institute, and Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, took place from September 17 to 21, 2023. The primary objective of this program was to identify and underscore the importance of innovation for the progression of government entities in Qatar.
Over the course of five days, the program encompassed a comprehensive array of topics and tools centered around innovation. Nineteen government entities actively participated in this transformative training initiative. The curriculum delved into essential aspects of becoming a Certified Innovation Professional®, embracing subjects such as the foundations of Government Innovation, Innovation Management, Ideation, Design Thinking, the GInI® Government Innovation framework, and more.
Distinguished guest speakers, namely Dr. Ali Al-Rashid, Mr. Nayef Al-Ibrahim, and Mr. Mohammed El-Tahir shared their profound insights into innovative practices within their respective organizations. These presentations enriched the participants’ understanding of the practical implementation of innovative concepts.
This training program served as a catalyst for fostering a culture of innovation within government entities and creating a community of like-minded professionals to practice innovation at a professional level.
