Averroes Advisory Cooperating with OICHF To Improve Third Sector Performance

Averroes Advisory recently signed agreement with OICHF (a humanitarian fund operated by the Islamic Cooperation Council, focused on providing sustainable solutions to humanitarian problems through development programmes), whereby Averroes Advisory will conduct a study to evaluate the impact so far of ‘DEMA’ project, an electronic education platform that was launched two years ago by OICHF and Eid Charity, targeting Syrian children in the Turkish City of Rayhaniya.

Representatives from all three organizations were in attendance, including Mr. Ahmed Abounahia (Managing Director, Averroes), Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al Thani (Chairman of the Board of Trustees, OICHF) and Mr. Nawaf Al-Hammadi (Deputy Managing Director and CEO of Media and Resource Development Department, Eid Charity).

The study will aim to study the impact of the now 2 year old ‘DEMA’ project, in order to accurately gauge its impact on the following aspects: content, teachers’ ability, student success under difficult living conditions, and technology and equipment. Additionally create a base line for the project for future assessment and evaluation. This project is especially important given that the project is about to enter its next phase, expanding its target audience to 20,000 students.
