After an incredible year of developing innovation capabilities among government entities, a new 2024 series of Government Innovation Leaders Training Program (GILP), in collaboration with Qatar Research Development, the Global Innovation Institute, the Innovation Council and Civil Service and Government Development Bureau kickstarted. The 5th cycle was held from May 12 to 16, 2024.
The primary objective of this program was to emphasize the significance of innovation and equip government entities employees with the necessary innovation capabilities, knowledge and mindset in Qatar.
Over the five days, the program encompassed a comprehensive array of topic, strategies and tools focused around innovation. Over 40 government entities actively participated in this transformative training initiative. The curriculum delved into essential aspects of becoming a Certified Innovation Professional®, embracing subjects such as the foundations of Government Innovation, Innovation Management, Ideation, Design Thinking, and the GInI® Government Innovation framework and more.
Distinguished guest speakers shared their profound practical insights into innovative practices and research. These presentations equipped the participants’ understanding of implementing innovative ideas in practical scenarios.
